2nd READING
2 Timothy 1:6-8.13-14
I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God that you have through the imposition of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control. So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for his sake; but bear your share of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God. Take as your norm the sound words that you heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Guard this rich trust with the help of the holy Spirit that dwells within us.

PRAYER AND REFLECTION
Senior, vos mihi phasmatis vox , diligo quod ego - imperium ut ego non erubesco of meus vobis , tamen patefacio meus requiro venia pro meus. Verum , vires adveho vobis ut iterum locus mihi sub vestri venia.
Lord Jesus, you have sent me the spirit of power, love and self-control that I may not be ashamed of my testimony to you, but instead open my eyes to seek forgiveness for my sins. Truly, strength comes from you that have once more placed me under your grace.
Strength comes from God alone, who has given us His spirit in order to experience His power and love. The Holy Spirit dwells within us, who gives us the gift of self-control in order to resist any form of temptation to commit sin.
Human instincts or impulses if not carefully monitored could lead us to negative reactions and responses that can lead us to temptation and sin. This usually happens if our spirits seems to be low, producing an effect of pessimism, fear, depression or anxiety.
On the other hand, if we are “high-spirited” we seem to be in control of all things and our outlook of life is always positive; confident that we can overcome all obstacles. This is the kind of Spirit that the Lord had implanted in us. It is a matter of enhancing the Holy Spirit in us to take full control of our lives.
A “Life in the Spirit” is always a life full of love, joy and peace. Why settle for anything less?
