Obedience to the Words of God

"For he whom God has sent
utters the words of God,
for it is not by measure
that he gives the Spirit."
John 3:34

The analytical mind will try to burst off his brain so that he may discover the conclusive and factual truth before he believes.

I remember a funny story where biblical scholars coming from different denominations tried to explain what the Lord meant when He said, "This is my Body".

They offered so many deep meanings to the word and found themselves arguing as to its true intent and meaning. The last person to speak was a priest with a simple mind who said, "I have heard all your arguments regarding what Jesus meant when He said 'This is my Body'. There is no deep explanation as to its true intent and meaning other than accepting His word in its plain context. Whom will I believe? You or Jesus Himself who spoke plainly of these things?"

We must obey God rather than men (Acts 5:29). I believed that each and every word that comes out from the mouth of the Lord will never return to Him void. They are all meant to speak for themselves by way of the Holy Spirit that God placed in our hearts. It is only through the Spirit that we can understand all these things. We are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him (Act 5:32).

We are commanded to preach the gospel by way of witnessing to the awesome powers of God's word and how it has changed our lives for the glory of God.

Father in heaven, may all the words I speak bring praise and glory to your name!

I belong to the earth of of the earth I speak, but I open my mind and heart to you so that you may change my principles and convictions to conform with your will.

In Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior whom you have sent from above and who is above all, I believe and trust.
