SONS OF THE FATHER

In Matthew 5:44-45, Jesus said, "But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."

Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. -- Hebrews 12:3
 
When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. -- 1 Peter 2:23
