"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household,
to give them their food at the proper time?
Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing.
Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions."
Matthew 24:45-47
Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus (1 Tim. 3:13). A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished (Prov. 28:20). Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint (Prov. 23:4).
This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches (Jer. 9:23).
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you (Heb. 13:5). Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Prov. 3:5). He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe (Prov. 28:26).
Love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give (Dt. 30:20).
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this (Ps. 37:5).
