CAN ANYTHING GOOD COME OUT?

In John 1:46, Nathan'a-el said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see."

There are times when we have preconceived notions about a person, a place, or a person coming from a specific place. If a person comes from a very poor community that is full of violence and criminality, we tend to associate his personality and character to that from which he came from.

There are also instances where we exercise preconceived notions on things we do that leads to experiencing bad or unfortunate incident in our lives. Some call it superstitious beliefs but for me, these are just plain preconceived notions or opinions formed beforehand without adequate evidence.

"Everytime I start my day reading the scriptures, reflecting upon them, and responding to God's message by way of praying, life becomes even more difficult to manage and handle. Is it because the enemy attacks those who wish to become closer to the Lord? If so, does God allow these things to happen so that He can test our loyalty, strenght and endurance? My mind and heart struggles each time I face such difficulties in life. I begin to ask myself, "Can anything good come out from regularly seeking the Lord?"

The truth is the Lord truly knows your mind and heart. The big question is, "How well do you really know Him?" If you believe that God is the one true source of all that you desire in life, will you choose to be far instead of being near? The key to being near is to always pray. . .

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him (Ps. 145:18).
