MY FATHER'S HOUSE

Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?
Luke 2:49

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "These people say, 'The time has not yet come for the LORD's house to be built" (Hg 1:2). You are to seek the place the LORD your God will choose to put his Name there for his dwelling. To that place you must go (Dt 12:5). The LORD be with you, and may you have success and build the house of the LORD your God, as he said you would (1 Chr 22:11).

Look with your eyes and hear with your ears and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here (Ez 40:4).

You who minister in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God (Ps 135:2), stand in the courtyard of the LORD's house and speak to all the people who come to worship in the house of the LORD. Tell them everything I command you; do not omit a word" (Jer 26:2). Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you" (Dt 4:2).

"The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house," says the LORD Almighty.  "And in this place I will grant peace," declares the LORD Almighty (Hg 2:9). "Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Mt. 28:20). You are to receive the offering for me from each man whose heart prompts him to give" (Ex 25:2).

When they arrived at the house of the LORD, some of the heads of the families gave freewill offerings toward the rebuilding of the house of God on its site. According to their ability they gave to the treasury for this work (Ezr 2:68-69).

Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing? -- Haggai 2:3

The LORD has appointed you priest to be in charge of the house of the LORD; you should put any madman who acts like a prophet into the stocks and neck-irons (Jer 29:26). You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house (Acts 20:20). For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God (Acts 20:27). Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will (Ps 103:21).

"My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work" -- John 4:34

For the very work that the Father has given me to finish, and which I am doing, testifies that the Father has sent me" (Jn 5:36). To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!" (Jn. 2:16).

Yes, this is what the LORD Almighty, says about the things that are left in the house of the LORD (Jer 27:21). "They will be taken and there they will remain until the day I come for them", declares the LORD. "Then I will bring them back and restore them to this place" (Jer 27:22). Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God (Ps 92:13)
