oh"If you keep my commandments,
you will abide in my love,
just as I have kept my Father's commandments
and abide in his love."

This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome (1 Jn. 5:3). And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love (2 Jn. 1:6). It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him (Dt. 13:4).
Jesus said. "Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him (Jn. 14:21). If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him (Jn. 14:23). The Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God (Jn. 16:27).
He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land--your grain, new wine and oil--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that he swore to your forefathers to give you (Dt. 7:13).
What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people" (2 Cor. 6:16). If anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him (1 Jn. 2:5).
See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father (1 Jn. 2:24) so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love (Eph. 3:17).
