"Practice and observe whatever they tell you, but not what they do;
for they preach, but do not practice."
Matthew 23:3
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you (Phil. 4:19). The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:7). Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful (Col. 3:15). You have one teacher, and you are all brethren (Mt. 23:8).
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5). You have one master, the Christ (Mt. 23:10).
The eyes of the arrogant man will be humbled and the pride of men brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day (Is. 2:11). Call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven (Mt. 23:9). Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted (Mt. 23:12).
