In Mark 3:27, the Lord said, "no one can enter a strong man’s house to plunder his property unless he first ties up the strong man."
"I have been harassed through many temptations and have fallen into the devil's trap that tied me up from my strong conviction of being a part in spreading the Lord's gospel. For quite a time, I have not been consistent in taking regular time-outs to be with my God because of the physical and emotional sufferings that I have encountered. My faith waivered and my trust in God was shaken. I could not accept the reality that in spite of my efforts to please Him, my life still seems to fall apart."
In your most trying times, all the more you should draw strength from the Lord. God is the One and Only Creator whose power is truly Absolute over all. As the Gospel proclaims, no one can enter the house, unless he ties up the master of the house first. It is within your God given will power that you can withstand and resist any and all temptations that comes your way. Instead of loosing faith, why not dialogue with Jesus regarding your situation?
You were given a special gift by the Holy Spirit to spread God's Word. As Paul said in Timothy 1:8, "bear your share of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God". It is never enough for a leader just to be nice. A good leader must always look for ways to call people in their service of the community and their individual faith walks. This is never easy to do, but someone has to do it! Ultimately, as the saying goes, ‘the buck stops with the person in charge.’
