GREAT POSSESSIONS

In Matthew 19:21, the Lord said, "If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."

Great possessions is the biggest stumbling block to perfection. You may have exercised a lot of good deeds but in reality, these represents only a very small fraction of what you have actually received.

You may think that being up there, high and mighty, wealthy and powerful, makes you far above anyone else. You expect people to listen and follow whatever you say.

Your influence over a lot people most especially those who benefit from you is so great that you can even blind them or poison their minds to bear false witness against others.

Is this the kind of life you really want to have?
