Give to the Lord, you Sons of God!

FREE OF CHARGE

"You received without paying, give without pay." (Mt 10:8)

Was it a sin for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge? (2 Cor. 11:7)

If I preach voluntarily, I have a reward; if not voluntarily, I am simply discharging the trust committed to me. What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make use of my rights in preaching it (1 Cor. 9:17-18).

If others have this right of support from you, shouldn't we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ (1 Cor. 9:12).


DRINK WITHOUT COST

He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life (Rev. 21:6). Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost (Is. 55:1). Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life (Rev. 22:17) .

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? (Ps. 42:2)

Jesus said, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled (Mt. 5:6). Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life (Jn. 4:14). If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him" (Jn. 7:37-38).


Give to the Lord, you sons of God, give to the Lord glory and praise, Give to the Lord the glory due his name; adore the Lord in holy attire (Ps 29:1-2).

I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land (Ps. 143:6). As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God (Ps. 42:1).
