Continue to work on that house of God. Rebuild it on its former site. Deal with elders in the rebuilding of that house of God. Let the men be repaid for their expenses, in full and without delay. Let it be carefully executed.
Continue to make progress in the building, supported by message. Finish the building according to the command of the God.
Complete this house on the third day of the month, in the sixth year. Celebrate the dedication of this house of God with joy. For the dedication of this house of God, offer it as a sin-offering for all. Finally, set up the priests for the service of God, as is prescribed.
REFLECTION
God sets priorities and directions over our lives everyday. He has given us the eyes that see and ears that hear His word. Obeying His word by acting on them brings not only satisfaction but also a deep sense of fulfillment that our day became truly fruitful and productive.
I received a clear instruction from the Lord today, and that is “to work on the house of God”. The first one is to rebuild it on its former site and this does not refer to its physical site but rather the website I built months ago that needs to be updated and modified. This site serves as the awareness site in dealing with the servant leaders of the parish. The only sad part is that in reality, most of the servant leaders are not yet on board in terms of this type of communications and information technology.
The second are the contractors and suppliers who are involved in the physical construction of the church. The other day, I spoke with the contractor who is currently building the reconciliation room. He rendered an update report of its status and I promised him that comes the next construction meeting on Thursday, I would give instructions to treasury to release another progress payment. I also informed him of the change order to move the partition by one foot. We have given the go signal to purchase the split type carrier aircon and to have it installed. As for the platform, the contractor and the electrical consultant are yet to finalize their drawings.
In relation to the back-up generator where we requested the electrical consultant to submit a study, he approached me last Saturday during the “Alay Lakad para Kay Maria” and informed me that there is a cheap stock for sale. Upon my query regarding its specifications if it is suited for the plan, he confirmed that it is. At any rate, I told him to finalize the full study because I do not want to discuss the matter on a fishmeal basis. This matter needs to be planned and studied carefully. This is the essence of God’s word today, and that is when it comes to His house, things must be “carefully executed”.
The third involves the finishing of the ceiling. At present, two fund raising activities have been launched to secure the resources needed for this project. One is the souvenir program and the other one is a pledging system named “Triple 8 by December 8”. A marketing scheme should be formulated in order to build up donors for the pledging system complete with a device or tool that gives regular monitoring and progress report.
Lastly, the construction is now on its third year but a lot more ticket items are yet to be planned and executed such as the remaining brickworks on the side walls including two more decorative doors, electric fans and seats, fence and gates, landscaping, etc. Given another year will not be enough considering the need for resources. Statistics shows that the average resources per year since the construction started only amounts to 2Million. It will really take another three years in order to fully accomplish the entire project.
I just hope and pray to God that He will still allow me to be a part of its completion and dedication.
